The Tasmanian Government is establishing a new Child and Family Learning Centre (CFLC) at Longford. The new Longford CFLC will offer a variety of services to support you, all in one place. It is somewhere you and your child can make friends, and they can learn as they play. CFLCs are welcoming places where you can get advice on health and family matters, education and training. For families and young children, they offer friendly and caring environments that support you with health and wellbeing services from pregnancy to age 5.
Extensive community and stakeholder consultation, including the establishment of a Local Enabling Group, will be undertaken to inform the design of the new Longford CFLC and the services it will provide to ensure it is tailor-made to serve local families. The first phase of community and stakeholder consultation for the new Longford CFLC will commence later this year, once the preferred site is confirmed, and construction is expected to commence in 2027.
