Work is underway at the site of the new Legana Primary School, with earthworks beginning last week.
Legana is one of the fastest growing areas in Tasmania, and the new state-of-the-art primary school will support this growing community.
The development of the master plan for the school was shaped through extensive community and stakeholder consultation. It includes learning spaces for up to 350 students, outdoor learning areas, a multi-purpose hall and an onsite oral health clinic.
The school was designed by Tasmanian architects Cumulus Studio, in collaboration with the project team and the West Tamar Council. Vos Construction and Joinery have been appointed to construct the new school.
This exciting new development is expected to be completed in the second half of 2024, with doors opening to students in 2025.
