Applications are now open for the 2024 Sure Start Scholarships.
The scholarships have been established by the Tasmanian Government through the Department for Education, Children and Young People and in partnership with the University of Tasmania.
The Scholarships provide up to $15,000 ($5,000 per year up to 3 years) and encourages young people who have experienced out-of-home care to pursue or continue their education and career endeavours. In 2024 there will be two 3-year scholarships awarded.
Applications are now open for the 2024 scholarships and will close on 31 October 2023.
The Scholarship is available to students undertaking undergraduate study in any Bachelor degree, or University Preparation Program, or Diploma of University Studies at the University of Tasmania in Semester 1, 2024.
