On Monday 15 January the B4 Early Years Coalition under the Tasmanian Governments Child and Youth Wellbeing Strategy is launching a 3 month state-wide media campaign to raise awareness and understanding of the importance of the first 1000 days.
The first 1000 days, from conception to 2 years, is a period of rapid development that impacts a child’s wellbeing and development now and for their lifetime. Let’s get all of Tasmania talking about the importance of the first 1000 days and the simple actions we all can take to ensure Tasmanians children in their first 1000 days thrive and grow.
What can I do? Everyone can share this message and links with family, friends, and through your networks. Follow B4 on Facebook and get ready to share the videos and social media posts that will be live from Monday 15 January.
For more information and to download a range of sharable resources see B4 Early Years Coalition – Department of Education or contact the B4 Support team B4@decyp.tas.gov.au if you would like a bumper sticker or other hardcopy materials.
If we get it right in the first 1000 days through playing, loving and learning together, we can get it right now and for life.
