The Tasmanian Government has released the Final Report of the Independent Review of Education in Tasmania.
The Independent Education Review (IER) has been undertaken to improve education outcomes in Tasmania.
The report identifies four key areas for focus:
- Continue the work we are doing in lifting literacy rates
- Better support our school staff and their wellbeing
- Greater alignment with the University of Tasmania – setting the next generation of teachers up for success
- Notes the opportunities in trailing Multi-School Organisations – networks of schools bound together through a united leadership team
The Review included broad consultation with 96 submissions to the public consultation paper, 927 responses to the educator, family and Tasmanian community survey, and 462 responses to the student survey.
The Final Report can be found here.
