- Our Data, Systems and Insights (DSI) team coordinates all applications to conduct research in Tasmanian government schools.
- Research applications are reviewed by the Research Applications Advisory Committee (RAAC). The Director (DSI) provides final approval for all applications.
- Research applicants are encouraged to minimise their impact on schools and consider remote research where applicable.
- It is a condition of any existing or future approvals that researchers comply with COVID-19 safety requirements.

- Publicly available education data may be found at the Data and Statistics web portal.
- Researchers are considered “external service providers” in DECYP schools and therefore must undergo and provide evidence of DECYP’s Safeguarding Training or be able to provide evidence of having completed Tasmanian Department of Health (DOH) Training or Australian Childhood Foundation (ACF) Training.
