Located in the rural community of Smithton, Smithton High School provides secondary education for students from Years 7 to 12 and plays a central role in supporting young people across the Circular Head region. As the town’s only government high school, the school is strongly supported by its community and works closely with families to enhance learning outcomes for every student.
The school is guided by a shared commitment to “together inspire and support all learners to succeed as connected, resilient, creative and curious thinkers.” This philosophy underpins a learning environment that values high achievement across academic, cultural, sporting and vocational pathways.
Smithton High School delivers a broad curriculum supported by dedicated staff who work collaboratively to meet individual learning needs. Vocational learning is strengthened through the on-site Trade Training Centre, providing practical pathways alongside academic study.
With a strong focus on engagement, responsibility and wellbeing, Smithton High School aims to develop confident, compassionate and capable young people who are well prepared for further learning, work and active participation in society.
