  • International students can enrol in Tasmanian Government Schools up to Year 12 with the appropriate visa 
  • Enrolment applications can be completed by parents or school staff with the appropriate supporting documentation provided by Tasmanian Government Education international (TGEI).

Tasmanian Government Schools are divided into Junior High (Years 7–10) and Senior High (Years 11–12).  Senior High Schools, designed for students aged 16 and over, provide an excellent learning environment and offer around 100 exciting subject choices, ensuring a diverse and enriching educational experience. 

Tasmanian Government Homestay program 

Operated by the Tasmanian Government, our homestay program offers safe, secure and welcoming accommodation for students from Year 9 – 12 to experience an authentic Australian family and community life.

Paying fees  

Payments are made through the TGEI Office. Full fee-paying student tuition fees covers school levies, but some courses and programs may charge additional fees.
