School social workers

All Tasmanian government schools and Child and Family Learning Centres have access to social work services – either on site or on call.

School psychologists

School speech and language pathologists provide interventions for learning, engagement and positive student outcomes.

Vision support services in schools

Vision Services (VS) supports children and students who are blind or have low vision and their families.

Hearing support services in schools

Hearing Services (HS) support children and students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing and their families. HS work with young people 0 to 18 years across the state.

English as an additional language (EAL) support

The English as an Additional Language (EAL) Service provides English language support for eligible Kindergarten to Year 12 students.

Tasmanian Autism Diagnostic Service (TADS)

TADS is a free community service providing comprehensive assessment and diagnosis for children and young people under 18 years of age suspected of having autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
