The Tasmanian Government is undertaking a $18 million redevelopment of Cambridge Primary School, providing additional contemporary learning facilities for students and staff, and traffic and car parking improvements. Stage 1 works were completed in 2025, and a second stage, which includes a new gymnasium, car park and traffic improvements, will be completed in 2027.

The project initiation stage sees the commencement of project planning, documentation and engagement with the school community.

The initial stage of community engagement informs development of a site master plan.
