In 2018, the Tasmanian Government committed to building a new primary school at Legana, providing state-of-the-art learning spaces for 350 students and partnered with the West Tamar Council to include a new community sports precinct around the school to enhance school and community facilities.
Construction of Legana Primary School was completed in late 2024, with school operations commencing in 2025.
