Young Archies Awards

About the Young Archies

• Awards are presented in year categories for the best portrait of a person created by a student in the last 12 months.
• The subject of the portrait must be of someone personally known to the student, like a friend, family member, classmate or teacher.
• Portraits can be in any 2D media, like drawings, paintings or collages, but cannot include photography. Digital artwork cannot have been created using Artificial Intelligence.

All entries receive a Certificate of Participation and prizes are awarded for:

• Category winners ($100)
• Overall Primary Winner (Kindergarten to Year 6 – $150)
• Tony Woodward Award (Overall Secondary Winner – Year 7 to Year 12 – $150)
• Packing Room Prize ($100)
• People’s Choice Award & UTAS Student’s Choice Award
• Department for Education, Children and Young People – Secretary’s Award ($100)
• Commissioner for Children and Young People’s Award ($100)
