Northern Support School is a government support school located in the suburb of Ravenswood in Launceston, northern Tasmania. We provide specialised education for students with disabilities from Kindergarten through to Year 12, supporting learners with diverse and complex needs across all stages of schooling.

We are committed to creating a safe, inclusive and highly supportive learning environment, where students are known as individuals and learning is tailored to their strengths, interests and goals. Strong relationships between students, families and staff are central to our approach, ensuring each learner is supported to engage meaningfully in education.

Our experienced staff deliver individualised programs using structured, evidence-based practices and a multimodal approach to communication. Learning programs focus on engagement, independence, skill development and wellbeing, supported by specialist learning spaces and community-based experiences.

We work closely with families, health professionals and support services to ensure programs are responsive and relevant. Through high expectations, consistent support and positive relationships, we aim to empower students to build confidence, develop life skills and achieve their personal best within and beyond the school setting.
