Scottsdale High School is a government secondary school located in north-east Tasmania, serving the town of Scottsdale and surrounding communities including Ringarooma, Branxholm, Derby, Nabowla and Bridport. We provide education for students from Years 7 to 12 and have a strong tradition of delivering quality education within the Dorset region.
Guided by our motto, “Good choices create a better tomorrow,” we encourage students to set high aspirations and take responsibility for their learning and future pathways. Student voice is actively promoted, and we support young people to become confident, respectful and engaged learners.
We offer a broad range of learning opportunities, including specialist programs in advanced manufacturing, agriculture and outdoor education. Students engage in authentic learning through our Stronach View Farm Campus and the Mt Cameron Field Study Centre, while vocational pathways are supported through our Trade Training Centre, which caters for senior students and adult learners.
Our committed teaching and support staff work closely with families to build strong partnerships that support positive learning outcomes. Underpinned by the values of Respect, Aspiration, Growth and Courage, we aim to equip students with the skills, confidence and resilience needed for further learning, training or meaningful employment beyond school.
